What We're Building

One studio.
Every stage of the film.

Story Studio AI is being built to bring the entire filmmaking process — story, characters, scenes, shots, generation, editing and export — into one connected, cinematic workflow. This is the architecture we are building toward.

Our Vision

One studio. Limitless worlds.

Story Studio AI is a next-generation film production company being built at the convergence of traditional filmmaking and emerging AI technology — real actors, real directors, physical production and studio craft, combined with a new generation of generative tools. We are not pretending the complete platform exists today. We are building toward it, in the open, one production at a time.

Physical Filmmaking FirstReal actors and performances remain at the centre.
One Physical Production BaseActors, directors and core production work together on a controlled stage rather than constantly moving the entire production around the world.
AI World ExpansionAI creates or extends locations, environments, scale, crowds, traffic, distant action, set extensions and selected production elements.
Performance ContinuityWith explicit consent and contractual approval, authorised digital performance assets may potentially support limited pickups and additional production needs.
AI Platform AgnosticStory Studio AI does not depend on one AI company. We integrate the most appropriate technologies and strategic AI partners for each production.

Real actors perform together on a professional stage, surrounded by real directors, cameras, lighting, props, costumes, sets, and crew. What we eliminate is the enormous expense of transporting an entire production around the world: no distant locations, flights, hotels, location permits, vehicle rentals, or travel units.

Instead, AI takes the production everywhere. Without leaving the stage, our actors can enter scorching deserts, frozen landscapes, foreign cities, historic worlds, or places that could never physically exist. The filmmaking remains real. The actors remain real. AI provides the worlds around them.

One physical production. One controlled location. Every world imaginable.

Character Continuity

The same character, everywhere the story goes.

Persistent character continuity is one of the core problems Story Studio AI is being designed to solve. Create a character once — name, look, wardrobe, voice, reference images — and our goal is for that same approved character to carry across every scene, location and generated shot. Malta or Morocco, past or future: the world changes, the character shouldn't.

Performance Continuity

Extending the Performance

Story Studio AI can also introduce a new form of performance continuity. With an actor’s explicit consent and contractual approval, a high-fidelity digital representation may be captured during principal photography and retained as an authorised production asset.

If a limited pickup, reshoot, insert or additional scene is required after the actor has completed principal photography — or is no longer physically available to the production — approved AI technology could potentially recreate that performer without requiring them to return to the stage.

The actor remains the performer. Their identity and performance are not treated as unrestricted digital property. Any use must remain within the scope of the actor’s agreement, subject to applicable law, contractual approval and clearly defined production rights. The performer retains contractual control over authorised use and is compensated according to the agreed terms.

Consent-Based Contractually Authorised Limited to Agreed Use Compensated Performer-Controlled

We are not replacing actors.
We are extending their availability.

Traditional pickups can require the return of cast, wardrobe, hair and makeup, transportation, accommodations, location recreation, crew scheduling and additional stage days. Where contractually authorised, performance continuity could allow certain limited production needs to be completed without recreating the entire physical production environment.

AI Model Orchestration

Many engines. One interface.

Story Studio AI is being designed to integrate leading AI technologies for image, video, voice, music and more into one filmmaking environment. Instead of juggling ten different AI services, the studio is built to quietly orchestrate them underneath a single, cinematic workflow.

FAQ

Still have questions?

Here’s what filmmakers, partners and investors usually want to know.

No. Story Studio AI is built around physical filmmaking first. Real actors perform together on a real stage with a real director, cinematographer, camera department, lighting, wardrobe, props and production crew.

AI extends that physical production beyond the walls of the stage. Instead of transporting an entire company to deserts, mountains, foreign cities or other expensive locations, those worlds can be created and integrated through advanced AI production technology.

The actors are real. The performances are real. The filmmaking is real. The world around them can become limitless.

Traditional location filmmaking can require international flights, hotels, transportation, location permits, equipment movement, local crews, construction, weather contingencies and days spent moving an entire production from one place to another.

Our model is designed to keep the core production together on one controlled physical stage while AI technology creates many of the locations, environments and selected action elements around it.

Depending on the project, this has the potential to substantially reduce the cost and complexity of production. Savings will vary from film to film, and we do not promise a fixed percentage.

Directors and producers can bring us a screenplay, project or concept and explore how it could be produced through our hybrid physical-plus-AI model.

This can begin with a proof of concept, concept reel or selected sequence before moving toward a larger production.

Our objective is not to replace the director. It is to give the director a larger canvas while reducing the logistical limitations that traditionally come with ambitious locations and action.

No. Our philosophy is the opposite.

Story Studio AI is designed around human performance and human creative leadership. Actors perform. Directors direct. Cinematographers photograph. Production designers, wardrobe, makeup, editors and other filmmaking professionals remain part of the creative process.

AI is a production tool, not the filmmaker. We use technology to expand what the physical production can achieve.

We want to work with leading and emerging AI companies specializing in video generation, environments, compositing, character consistency, action, post-production and other filmmaking technologies.

Story Studio AI can provide something particularly valuable: a real-world production environment in which AI technology can be applied to professional filmmaking.

Rather than simply demonstrating technology with isolated generated clips, we want to explore how it performs alongside real actors, cameras, directors and production workflows.

Partnership structures can be discussed individually and confidentially.

Story Studio AI is developing a production model intended to combine the established discipline of physical filmmaking with rapidly advancing AI capabilities.

Depending on the party and the project, Story Studio AI can consider several forms of participation, including company investment, individual production investment, slate financing, strategic technology partnership, physical studio partnership, production-company partnership and AI-company partnership.

Detailed corporate structures, project economics and confidential production materials are available to qualified parties through private discussions and appropriate confidentiality arrangements. Qualified investors can request a private conversation and, where appropriate, review confidential materials after an NDA is in place.

Investor Inquiry

Potentially, yes.

Story Studio AI is interested in projects where our production model can make a meaningful difference, particularly films involving ambitious locations, multiple countries, action, environments or production requirements that would traditionally be expensive or logistically difficult.

However, do not send confidential scripts or proprietary material through the general contact form.

Contact us first with a brief non-confidential description. If there is mutual interest, we can establish the appropriate submission and confidentiality process.

Discuss a Project

Confidentiality is fundamental to the Story Studio AI model.

Before sensitive scripts, concepts, budgets, production methods, business plans or proprietary technology are exchanged, the parties can establish appropriate confidentiality protections.

Story Studio AI has an NDA process for confidential discussions. Specific intellectual-property ownership, licensing and production rights are then addressed in the appropriate project or partnership agreements.

View / Sign NDA

There is no one-size-fits-all ownership structure.

Story Studio AI does not assume ownership of a filmmaker’s underlying intellectual property simply because a project is discussed with us.

Ownership, financing, production participation, licensing, distribution and revenue participation are established separately for each project through written agreements before production.

Our model can potentially benefit many genres, but it becomes especially powerful when a project would normally require extensive travel, numerous locations, difficult environments, large physical builds or expensive action.

That can include action, thrillers, science fiction, fantasy, historical films, international stories and ambitious independent features.

A single production could move from Paris to Morocco, from a frozen wilderness to a futuristic city, while the principal cast and physical production remain based at one stage.

That is the fundamental Story Studio AI proposition: one physical production, a world without borders.

Matthias Hues

Matthias Hues

Founder · Actor · Filmmaker · Producer

Matthias Hues is an internationally recognized actor, filmmaker, author and producer whose career has spanned nearly four decades of feature-film production across the United States, Europe and international markets.

Best known to global audiences for his iconic role opposite Dolph Lundgren in the cult science-fiction action film Dark Angel / I Come in Peace, Matthias has spent his career on both sides of the independent and studio filmmaking world, working with directors, producers, stunt teams, cinematographers and crews across numerous countries.

That experience became the foundation for Story Studio AI.

After decades of watching productions move hundreds of people, equipment, actors and infrastructure around the world to capture what ultimately appears inside a camera frame, Matthias saw generative AI creating a different possibility.

His vision is not to replace filmmaking with AI, but to use AI to remove many of the physical limitations surrounding filmmaking.

Story Studio AI is built around physical production first: real actors, real performances, real directors, real cameras, practical action, wardrobe, props and cinematography working together on a controlled stage. AI technology then extends that production into locations, environments and worlds that no longer require the entire company to physically travel there.

As Founder of Story Studio AI, Matthias leads the company’s creative vision, project development, filmmaker relationships and the evolution of its physical-first hybrid production model.

His philosophy remains deliberately simple: Keep the performance real. Keep the filmmaking real. Let technology expand the world around it.
